This form is to apply for a Florida Transportation Builder’s Association (FTBA) Trade Scholarship. The FTBA trade scholarships are available to any Florida resident that is a high school student receiving their Diploma or GED within the 2024/2025 school year, whose parent or legal guardian is a member or is employed by a firm who is a member of the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association.

Scholarships are granted in varying amounts and time periods at the discretion of the FTBA Scholarship Committee. Curriculum requirements are only that you enroll in a program directly related to the road construction industry at a technical or vocational school. References of Florida trade schools can be provided upon request. (FTBA does not in any way endorse these schools.) There are no geographic limitations on your school of choice, but you must be a Florida resident to apply. Scholarship applications will be evaluated on (a) your application (b) high school transcript or GED Certificate, and (c) letters of recommendation. Incomplete applications or those submitted after the application deadline will not be considered. Deadline for scholarship application submittal is March 5, 2025.

Please note, applications must be submitted in the English language. The application must include two letters of recommendation from someone other than a family member. You must also submit a copy of your high school transcript or GED Certificate with the online application. If you are submitting transcripts, they must be signed by your guidance counselor. Your transcript does not have to be a certified copy since it is being submitted electronically, but it must be signed. All items must be submitted via the document upload section at the time this form is completed. Once your application has been received by FTBA, you will see a confirmation page. • Heavy Machinery Operator
• Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic
• Carpenter
• Commercial Truck Driver (CDL)
